 THE REAL ESTATE LANDSCAPE OF THE SOUTH COSTA BLANCA

 

The real estate landscape in this part of Spain is nothing like that of France. The majority of properties have 80% 2 bedrooms, no separate living room from the dining room (except in old town buildings), no separate toilet either because the toilets are often in the bathrooms. (area gain). Heating is very often limited to reversible air conditioning, sufficient to heat homes only in the evening. Winter here lasts only 3 months (December, January and February): 15°C average day, 8°C average night.

By the sea, we tend to find apartments, new or old, town or residential, with or without a community pool.

Going inland, up to 15 km from the sea, there are residential areas:

Some offer insteadbungalows" (residences of 1 floor maximum) with community swimming pool nearby (for the oldest) or in the center of the residence for the most recent.

Others, like La Marina-Oasis for example, are made up mainly of "cottages" (small villas) adjoining or independent on a plot of approximately 200 m²,quads(adjoining on 2 sides because organized in squares) and finally by beautiful villas with private swimming pool and with a minimum of 500 m² of land.

Inland we find "fincas" (agricultural properties), with large houses and plots of up to several hectares, with various plantations: orange and lemon trees (mostly), mandarin trees, almond trees, pomegranate trees, olive trees, some local fruit trees (peach trees , pear trees, plum trees...) but also very diverse "organic" vegetable crops (small plots) (tomatoes, lettuces, cucumbers, peppers, melons, artichokes, broad beans...)
